Cambot, give me rocket number nine!
- Various SoL Crew

Oh! Ah...Cambot, give me rocket number eleven minus two.
- Mike in episode 913

Rocket Number 9 is the all-purpose external rocket-camera that orbits or is deployed around the Satellite of Love. The camera's main purpose is to provide exterior shots of the SOL in order to view approaching alien craft or view anomalies taking place outside the ship.

Despite what the name suggests, there is apparently only one such rocket orbiting the SOL. It can show any place outside of the ship on demand, without requiring specific instruction on where to focus. The rocket itself is never seen in external shots or from inside the satellite.

Joel named the rocket in reference to Sun Ra's Rocket Number Nine.
