Roy Ward Baker (1916-2010) was a British director best known for his work at Hammer Films on several of their trademark Gothic horror movies. Other noteworthy films he directed include Quatermass and the Pit and A Night to Remember (scenes of which were used in The Castle of Fu Manchu). He also worked in British television on shows such as The Avengers and The Saint.
