Notes[]

  • The title of this movie seems to be derived from the Scottish folk song "The Bonnie Lass o' Fyvie", in which the chorus begins with the line "O come down the stairs Pretty Peggy, my dear". In 1962, Bob Dylan released a song entitled "Pretty Peggy-O" that drew inspiration from the Scottish song. It was later covered by The Grateful Dead.
  • Director Gordon Hessler directed three episodes of The Master, though not any of the ones featured in Master Ninja I and Master Ninja II.
  • Ted Bessell was known at the time for having played the handsome-but-bland Donald on the TV sitcom That Girl from 1966 to 1971.
  • Allan Arbus had a recurring role on M*A*S*H as Major Freedman.
