Season 13

Season 13 is the thirteenth national season of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (fourteenth overall). It is the first to be released via the Gizmoplex streaming service and was crowdfunded by the Let's Make More MST3K & Build THE GIZMOPLEX! campaign on Kickstarter. The season consists of thirteen episodes. During Turkey Day '21, the thirteen films were announced along with their planned release order.

The first episode debuted for Kickstarter backers and early subscribers on March 4, 2022. Episodes began to be released for purchase or rental by the general public on May 6, 2022.^[1]

Season 13 features three test subjects sharing duties across the thirteen experiments: Jonah Heston, Emily Connor and Joel Robinson.

The new season also saw a return to the use of shorts by the show, this time in a series of stand-alone releases. Although not incorporated into the episodes, they are still considered to be a part of Season 13.

After several months being exclusive to the Gizmoplex, the episodes from Season 13 became available to watch for free on the streaming sites plutotv, and Shout! Factory.

In July of 2023, Joel Hodgson indicated that he intended to use Kickstarter to fund production of additional episodes, meaning that Season 13 will likely not be the final season of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

As with all revival seasons, Season 13 was released to home media in a complete season set. So far, only the Collector's Edition has been released.
