Season K (also known as "Season 0") is the first season of Mystery Science Theater 3000. It aired from 1988-1989 on KTMA - Channel 23 from Minneapolis, Minnesota. It consists of twenty-one episodes. The original pilot is also generally considered part of the season, but is not included in the episode count because it is only a proof-of-concept and not a complete episode.
During the Facebook live-stream following the 2020 Live Riff-Along event, Joel Hodgson stated that he does not consider the KTMA season to be "canon". However, the episode count used by Kinga Forrester in Experiment #1103 (the "200th episode") includes the KTMA episodes.
Season debuts:
- Joel Hodgson as Joel
- Josh Weinstein as Crow T. Robot, Gypsy, Tom Servo and Dr. Laurence Erhardt
- Trace Beaulieu as Crow T. Robot and Dr. Clayton Forrester
