The Alien Factor is a 1978 sci-fi/horror film that was written, directed, and produced by Don Dohler.
Plot[]
A small town in Maryland suffers a series of inexplicable deaths, some of which are caused by attacks from unknown creatures. The local law enforcement and government officials are unsure how to solve the problem.
A mysterious stranger arrives in town and claims that he can stop the deaths. After killing the alien creatures, the stranger's true nature is revealed.

Notes[]
- Director Don Dohler appears as one of the trio of townsfolk who get killed.
- Many members of the cast have also appeared in other films of Don Dohler. This is the only film credit for Mary Mertens.
- The final alien to be killed is identified as a "Leemoid" in the film. The other two are apparently called Zagatyle and Interbyce.
- Don Dohler's 1982 film Nightbeast re-uses the basic plot of The Alien Factor. Several actors from The Alien Factor also appear in Nightbeast, often playing characters with the same name.
- Don Dohler also released a sequel to The Alien Factor in 2001. Entitled Alien Factor 2: The Alien Rampage, it has a similar plot and features some of the same cast playing different roles.
