The Beach Girls and the Monster is a 1965 monster movie directed by Jon Hall (who also co-starred and worked as Cinematographer) and written by Joan Gardner.

Plot

A group of young men and women who gather at a beach to surf and enjoy themselves are attacked by a mysterious creature. One of the surfers is the son of a scientist who may have the answer to the creature's origins. The scientist's home life is complicated by his unfaithful wife.

Notes

  • Features an appearance by the puppet Kingsley the Lion, operated by Clyde Adler. Adler was also a writer and puppeteer on the popular children's TV program The Soupy Sales Show.
  • The Kingsley puppet was built by Walker Edmiston, who also created the various sculptures seen in the film.
