Volume 5 packaging
The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Volume 5 is a DVD box set released by Rhino Entertainment. It was released in March 2004.
This is the first set that uses a basic outside box with no accoutrements. Inside is a fold-out insert for the four discs and a booklet with a chapter index.
Like the previous set, Volume 5 features four Mike episodes from the Sci-Fi Channel era. Also like the previous all-Mike set, all four episodes feature new intros by Michael J. Nelson that automatically play at the beginning of each episode.
In 2017, Shout! Factory released Mystery Science Theater 3000 – Volume V, a replacement for this volume with additional extras.
