Timothy Van Patten (born 1959) is an American television director, actor, screenwriter, and producer. He is the half-brother of actor Dick Van Patten.

In the late 1970s, Timothy Van Patten made his series television debut in The White Shadow and went on to appear on many different shows and a few films. In 1984, he starred in the TV action-adventure series The Master alongside Lee Van Cleef, episodes of which were later re-edited into a series of movies, two of which were featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

More recently, Van Patten has worked as a director for several television shows including The Sopranos, Touched by an Angel, Sex in the City, and Boardwalk Empire.
