Tom Conway (1904-1967) was born Thomas Charles Sanders in St. Petersburg. He had a long and varied career in films.
Conway starred in several installments of the popular film series about the intrepid investigator known as The Falcon (taking over from actor George Sanders as the brother of Sanders' character). Other detectives he portrayed in various media include Sherlock Holmes (taking over from Basil Rathbone), Bulldog Drummond, and Simon Templar (aka The Saint). He also appeared in the notable genre films Cat People and I Walked with a Zombie.
