Tom Cruise (born July 3, 1962 in Syracuse, NY, USA) is a major Hollywood star who appeared in two movies covered by RiffTrax in their beginning stages.

Cruise has appeared in hit films such as Taps, The Outsiders (with C. Thomas Howell and Patrick Swayze), Legend, A Few Good Men (with Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, Kiefer Sutherland and Kevin Bacon), the Mission: Impossible movie franchise (with Jon Voight, Jean Reno and Simon Pegg), Jerry Maguire, Interview with the Vampire (with Brad Pitt and Christian Slater), Magnolia (with Julianne Moore), the Steven Spielberg films Minority Report and War of the Worlds, Christopher McQuarrie's Jack Reacher and Doug Liman's Edge of Tomorrow (with Brendan Gleeson).

On MST3K, he was referenced as resembling the secondary villain Torgo (played by John Reynolds) in Experiment 424 Manos: The Hands of Fate. In the RiffTrax Live! event Sharknado, Michael J. Nelson references the actor by noting how the protagonist in the film is running frantically while holding a cellphone by remarking: "He's Tom Cruising it!".
